Cattle Hill Wind Farm Overview

Cattle Hill Wind Farm is located on the eastern shore of Lake Echo in the southern side of the Central Plateau of Tasmania.

The relevant approvals have been granted for the construction and operation of wind turbine generators and associated infrastructure.

The project will consist of 48 turbines, producing up to 150 MW of clean renewable electricity. Construction of the project is anticipated to commence in early 2018 and the wind farm is aimed to become fully operational in 2019.

The project will have significant local benefits during construction, with investment in the local economy. The project is expected to employ over 150 staff during construction and have up to ten permanent maintenance staff once the project is operational.

Project Background

Cattle Hill Wind Farm  is wholly owned by Goldwind Capital Australia Pty Ltd.

Initial development of the project, including detailed site analysis, concept design, onsite wind monitoring, and submission of the Development Application and related Environmental Management Plan was undertaken by NP Power Pty Ltd. Goldwind acquired the project in September 2017.
